Book review - Love, Rosie (Where rainbows end)

Well i finished this book about a week ago 'about a week agooo' and it is so so so so good!
I mean i love reading but i'm such a picky reader and i usually go for more adventurous books e.g Hunger Games (which is the best trilogy everrrr!!) or divergent (what i am currently reading).
But this book is about love with a twist,i honestly could not put it down! I saw the film when it was released in July last year (now available for DVD) before i read this and i thought the film was one of the best movies i've ever seen. I didn't think the book would be that good since i already knew what was going to happen but it was quite different to the movie (in a good way).

Without reveling to much, the plot of the book is about a girl called Rosie and her best friend Alex who has been her best friend since they were 5 and continued to be.
Both are from a little village in Ireland.
The book is set out in letters and text messages (which sounds confusing but really isn't) and it shows Rosie and Alex sending each other notes in nursery up until there around 50 years old sending letters. It basically lets you see Rosie and Alex's friendship grow as they get older and life gets in the way.
When they are 17 Alex has to move to Boston because his dad gets a job, Rosie plans to to move to Boston to go to there Collage to study Hotel management.
When the last school dance approaches Alex can't make it, so Rosie doesn't have a date, she lowers her standers and goes with Brian 'the whine'.
A few months later she falls pregnant, ruining her plans to move to Boston.
Of course her and Alex still keep in touch but her life changes drastically.

i think the book is fab, but i do think it would be quite hard to understand if you're under 13 because i'm 13 and only really understood it because i saw the movie. I recommend it soo much though because it makes you see things differently and if you don't really read then at least watch the movie it is AMAZING on so many levels.

self injury awareness day 2015

Hi this isn't something i would usually post (well i don't have a theme or anything so unusual is usual). Well don't be expecting self harming scars or anything like that as i do not self harm and also it may offend others and trigger others.

I just want anyone who feels like shit and unappreciated to know that you are not the only one even though it may feel like that at times.
It may feel like your a fragile piece of glass that someone has been poking and poking until you smash and when you smash you cant get back together.
IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT ONE BIT.
You may have done something in the past you regret, who doesn't,if small minded people judge you on your past then they do not deserve to be in your present, and chances are they have done things in their past that their not proud of.
Maybe you have done nothing to deserve what has happened to you,I know how that feels and it is not your fault, please remember that. If someone is making you feel rubbish, tell someone do not keep it to yourself.
If it's none and you are experiencing an awful anxiety for no reason, again tell someone.
Recently i have/am experiencing this and i told my mum and its helping a lot,i don't think i will tell my friends as sometimes friends (as good as they are) might not understand as well as parents.

If you don't want to tell anyone you know i am always here, you may not know me but i do care and if you ever need me you can always talk and i'll do my best to cheer you up xo

How to survive valentines day alone

Just remember valentines day is just like any other day of the year except its just full of all that cringy jaz like them pointless over sized teddys (not going to lie I would love one) or massive cards bigger than the person receiving it.

Personally i absolutely hate things like valentines day and just public display of affection,I have no idea why i just don't get how sticking someones tongue down someones throat in a public place is love or cute,if that happened to me i'd probably bite their tongue off.

For the last 13 years and 7 and a half months (my whole life) i have survive valentines day (and the other 364 days of the year) alone so i'm going to show you people how to be brave and alone on this tragic day for singles (sarcasm because its not that tragic)

1st of all write yourself a fake 'anonymous' note of love writing all your positives about yourself and put it in an envelope then open it and you can be like ''omg valentines note woooo'' plus self confidence.

2nd of all if you cant spend your valentines day with one boy spend it with two Ben and Jerry (lmao i really hope at least one person got that joke)

3rd of all just have a lazy day and eat whatever you want watch some of your fave movies and stuff like all i'm doing is watching Breakfast at Tiffany's ,When Harry met Sally and of course Dirty Dancing and eating Nutella

4th of all there isn't really any other tips just do what you wanna do

8 Life hacks (part 2)

Hello ('Hola' if you're Spanish) this is life hacks part 2!!!Most of these are not my ideas they are off Google lmao i'm not that creativeIf you like what i post please feel free to comment love ya xo

1)If you have ran out of shaving foam or don't have any, just use hair conditioner its miles cheaper plus your legs will smell like your hair:)
2)To remove gum from your hair use an ice cube (because no one wants gummy hair)

3)put a straw through a necklace to keep it from untangling
4)When your phone is on charge turn it on airplane mode (it charges quicker)
5)Chew gum while studying,it helps stay focused
6)To make perfume last all day apply Vaseline first then spray perfume
7)If you get mascara on your eye lids use a flash card (or anything similar) to make sure it doesn't go on eyelids,if you're feeling rebellious and don't do this and get mascara on your eyelids use a cotton bud to remove it (two hacks in one ooooh)

8)If you're really bad at painting nails (which is really hard if your using your left hand, vise versa) put a thin layer of non toxic PVA (or Elmers) glue around your nail and wait for it to dry. Then paint your nail and once the nail varnish is dry peel the glue off so then all the nail varnish around your nail will come off. You can also do this with Vaseline.(photo from St.Ives twitter page)

High school expectations vs Reality

hiiii i have a massive head ache but i felt like bloggin' so....

In my last year of primary all i wanted was to go to high school, because i expected it to mean your officially 'big' but in reality your in year 7 which means you're in the baby year group again, plus you have no idea whats cool and whats not at the start.

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS... You expect high school boys to be all big and like the movies but really...

CANTEEN... In the canteen you expect food fights, sing along and all that jazz but no because everyone has phones

FOOD... Is it just me that expected chocolate fountains and that? (High school was a massive disappointment)

Thank you for reading! Sorry it's only short ill probaly do a part 2,comment if ya'll like it xo
